Nonprofits, events, and organizations FAQs
Information for community organizations interested in joining the ZipSprout sponsorship network.
These answers explain how to get started, what to expect during onboarding, and how sponsorships can support your mission while connecting you with committed local partners.
What does ZipSprout do for nonprofits?
We connect you with businesses that want to support your work through sponsorships.
Our role is to make the match, handle the details, and help both sides get the most from the partnership.
How do I know ZipSprout is legitimate?
Since 2016, we’ve connected businesses with over 23,160 nonprofits nationwide. As of September 2025, that’s added up to more than $8.3 million in sponsorships.
Is this a scam?
No. We connect businesses with local organizations for real sponsorship opportunities. If you’re unsure, we’re happy to confirm details by phone and answer any questions.
What’s the typical sponsorship budget?
Most sponsorships are in the $350–$500 range, but some can be higher depending on the client and the opportunity.
Will this cost us anything?
No. There’s no cost for nonprofits to be part of our sponsorship network, and no fee is charged for being matched with a sponsor.
Do we need to meet any requirements to join or stay in the network?
We just need a live website with a place to show sponsor recognition (like a partners page or footer). You can stay in the network as long as your site and contact info are up to date.
Why aren’t businesses reaching out to us directly?
Many businesses don’t know how to find or approach local organizations. Others aren’t aware of the sponsorship options you offer.
We bridge that gap by introducing them and managing the process.
What does a sponsorship involve?
At a minimum, our clients ask for their logo or name and a link to their website on your site for at least 12 months.
Do donations have to be online?
No. Some of our nonprofits only take checks, and we work with sponsors to handle payment in whatever way the nonprofit prefers.
How does the sponsorship process work?
When we have a business interested in your area, we’ll contact you first. If the fit is good, we’ll confirm the budget, timelines, and how the sponsorship will be shown on your site.
Once approved, we send it to our client for review and then process payment. Then, we’ll work with you to place the link and discuss other marketing possibilities (if applicable).
Who will I hear from during the sponsorship process?
You may hear from different team members as we move things along. If there’s trouble getting a response or sorting out payment, we’ll follow up directly.
We also monitor messages and reply to invitations or updates, even if it’s just to keep the connection friendly.
How often will you contact us with opportunities?
We’ll reach out whenever we have a sponsor interested in your area. There’s no set schedule as it depends on client needs. But we’ll keep you in mind for future matches.
When will we receive payment?
Once the sponsor approves, we process payment promptly and coordinate with you on any details needed to finalize the sponsorship.
Will you match us with any type of business?
No. We avoid matching with businesses that clients or we consider controversial, such as alcohol or cannabis companies.
Our goal is to create partnerships that reflect positive community values.
Can you connect us with more sponsors?
If we have other sponsors interested in your area, we’ll connect you right away. If not, we’ll keep you in mind and reach out when a new opportunity comes up.
Can sponsorships lead to long-term partnerships?
Yes. When nonprofits maintain strong relationships with sponsors, many continue their support year after year.
How can we encourage sponsors to stay involved?
Keep sponsors updated on your activities, invite them to events, and offer ways they can participate beyond their initial commitment.
Can sponsors get more involved with our organization?
Yes. Many sponsors are open to deeper involvement beyond the link, but those opportunities are often missed.
We can help highlight and encourage ways for them to participate more in your events and community.
What other benefits can sponsorships provide?
Sponsorships can lead to event support, in-kind donations, social media promotion, and greater community visibility.
How do we showcase the impact of sponsorships?
Share stories, photos, or metrics showing how the sponsorship made a difference. It helps sponsors see the value and want to continue.
