How easy is it to work with ZipSprout?

Agencies can give us simple criteria like “two links in Buffalo, family-oriented.” We handle everything (from prospecting and approvals to fulfillment and link checks for 12 months).

Our flat fee of $150 per link covers the whole process, no commissions.

What types of clients can agencies bring to ZipSprout?

Agencies partner with us to support clients across many industries, including lawyers, dentists, plumbers, contractors, SaaS, and e-commerce brands with a local presence.

Can we start small before rolling out to more clients?

Yes. Many agencies start with a few placements to test results. Once they see it works, we can help them scale the service across more clients.

Can you work across multiple locations for our clients?

Yes. When we can search statewide or nationally, there are far more nonprofit options, which helps us deliver a wider variety of links more quickly.

How do we get started with a new client?

Fill out this form with the details for a single link. We’ll run the process so you can test it out before rolling it out to more clients.

Is there a notice period for cancellations?

Yes. We require 30 days’ notice, and there may be a $75 fee per placement if a cancellation happens after a link is already in progress.

We’ll always let you know the status before applying any fee.

Are sponsorships considered donations for our clients?

No. Sponsorships provide benefits such as visibility and a local link, so they’re not classified as charitable donations for tax purposes.

How is ZipSprout different from other link builders?

We focus on securing links through nonprofit sponsorships, not just building business listings on sites like Yelp or Google Business Profile.

This creates unique, community-driven links you won’t get from standard citation building.

How is your approach different from other link builders?

We focus on local sponsorships and talk to every organization one-on-one, not through mass emails. That personal approach builds stronger, longer-lasting connections for our clients.

How do you find sponsorship opportunities for our clients?

We’ve built a database of over 152,000 local opportunities from years of outreach and relationship building. And we can tap into them quickly for your campaigns.

Why partner with ZipSprout instead of finding sponsorships yourself?

We’ve been doing this for almost 10 years and have built deep expertise in local sponsorships. In the past, we even offered a free binder of opportunities for businesses to use on their own.

But most stopped once they realized how much work it takes.

Do you work within specific DA or DR requirements?

We can work within your DA or DR targets, but in local link building, relevancy matters most.

Some of the best community links may have a DA or DR as low as 7. And they can still drive highly qualified local traffic.

Why is it harder to get high DA or DR links locally?

Local organizations often serve small communities and naturally have lower DA or DR. The value comes from their local relevance and trust, not from competing in global ranking metrics.

How do you determine if a link is relevant?

We assess audience, location, and topic to make sure each link aligns with the client’s goals.

For local work, geographic relevance is key, and we also review domain authority and spam scores when requested.

Can we avoid certain types of organizations?

Yes. You can set guidelines to avoid categories you consider controversial, such as cannabis or alcohol.

We follow your preferences and also avoid any organization we feel doesn’t align with positive community impact.

How do you avoid nonprofits contacting clients directly?

We make it clear to nonprofits that all communication goes through the agency.

This prevents confusion, keeps messaging consistent, and ensures the client knows ZipSprout is part of their team.

What if a nonprofit contacts our client directly?

If that happens, we explain that we’re working with the client’s marketing agency to help them increase local visibility and support the community through nonprofit sponsorships.

This keeps the conversation aligned and on-message.

How much work will this be for our team?

We manage all outreach, gather the details, and present preapproved opportunities. Your team simply decides yes or no, and we handle fulfillment from there.

How do we know this will work for our clients?

We’ve seen sponsorship link building work at scale for large brands and have data to show why it’s effective. By closing link gaps, we can boost visibility in a measurable way.

Why can results take longer with some clients?

When agencies need approval from their clients before moving forward, it can slow the process. The extra steps add time before sponsorships can be secured.

Do sponsorships offer more than just a link for clients?

Yes. Sponsorships often come with added benefits like event access, logo placement, or newsletter mentions.

Agencies can use these to boost client visibility, but they’re often overlooked.

Do you check spam scores before matching opportunities?

Yes. We keep spam scores under 10 as a minimum standard. If a site’s score is higher, we won’t match your clients with it.

Can you focus only on high-DA or DR links?

We can target them, but high-DA sponsorships often cost well above the $500 total most campaigns are built around.

Our main focus is securing relevant, community-based links that deliver real visibility for your clients.

How can we track results for our clients?

We publish all placements and campaign updates to your agency dashboard. You can check link status, see live URLs, and track progress in real time.

This keeps your team and clients in the loop without chasing updates.
