Louisville-based ZipSprout tops $10 million in sponsorship dollars placed for nonprofits, events, and grassroots organizations
Milestone comes as nonprofits face rising demand and funding pressure across Kentucky and the U.S.
LOUISVILLE, KY., 28 April 2026 — ZipSprout, a company based in Louisville, Kentucky, has surpassed $10 million in sponsorship dollars placed since launching in 2016, directing funds to nonprofits, events, and grassroots organizations through sponsorships that connect businesses with local communities.
The milestone comes as nonprofits face a tougher funding climate. In Kentucky, 45% of charitable nonprofits reported they could not meet demand for their services, and 56% reported higher overall expenses.
Nationally, 68% of nonprofits said they expect demand for their services to increase in 2026, while one-third reported disruptions to government funding in early 2025.
ZipSprout has facilitated more than 27,847 sponsorships and built a network of more than 160,148 sponsorship opportunities across 710 locations in the United States and Canada.
The company works with local businesses, agencies, and enterprise brands that want to support nonprofits, events, and grassroots organizations while building local visibility through sponsorships that fit.
“Crossing $10 million in sponsorship dollars placed is a big moment for us,” said Garrett French, founder and CEO of ZipSprout. “We started ZipSprout to help nonprofits, events, and grassroots organizations get support they can put to work in their communities. This milestone says there is lasting demand for this kind of connection.”
ZipSprout’s own 2025 survey of 120 sponsors found that 94% rated community impact as highly motivating, 88% said shared values were extremely or very motivating, and 58% had sponsored the same organization for more than a year.
The findings suggest that local sponsorships continue to work because they matter to both sides: organizations get funding they can use, and businesses build a more meaningful local presence.
“A lot of the organizations we support are the ones that make a place feel like a place,” French said. “They run the events, programs, and causes that bring people together. Helping move more than $10 million to groups like that means a lot to us.”
Founded in 2016, ZipSprout helps businesses sponsor nonprofits, events, and grassroots organizations through a managed process that includes research, outreach, fulfillment, and reporting. For participating organizations, the service is free.
